“We were brand new to Canada we had just gotten married, so barely two months […] We were actually considering abortion. We were scared that we cannot afford a living for that baby right then. It was not like we really wanted to, but it’s all of a sudden everything’s come together. It’s just shock you, and that fear was like that was the only door opened to say okay, it’s an option. You can do an abortion, but then again, we don’t want to, but that’s the only thing that our fear led us to. And we didn’t know that there were other options, other support out there that we could consider.”

Women in Peel facing unexpected pregnancies are struggling to access the compassionate care they desperately need. Over the past five years, requests for our services in this region have tripled, yet without a local presence, many women cannot receive our full support.
Our feasibility study confirms not only the critical need for PCC Toronto’s services in Peel, but also strong community support for this expansion.
PCC opened the Peel Centre in Brampton in September 2025. This new location is reducing travel barriers, providing in-person care, and fostering community support through local church partnerships. In just four months, the centre provided compassionate, in-person care to over 100 women and their families. Located near colleges and transit routes and operating six days a week, the Peel Centre brings essential care closer to home, ensuring women and families in Peel are not alone.
A strong network of local churches partnering alongside us is crucial for the success of this new office.
It takes $600 ($50/month) to support with one woman through a year of pregnancy.

Sustaining gifts provide a reliable source of funds that help sustain our presence in Peel including client support staff, our physical locations where we meet clients and provide much-needed resources, as well as allowing us to train volunteers and church communities to provide ongoing support.
