Love for Christ and love for human life are the foundation of the Pregnancy Care Centre’s mission. Over the past 32 years, the PCC has supported women and men in pregnancy decision making.
PCC’s mission: We exist so that no one feels alone in an unexpected pregnancy. No one needs to believe that abortion is their only option.
Join us on Saturday, May 12th over Mother’s Day Weekend as we support women and men making life-changing pregnancy decisions. Let’s celebrate Supermoms!
In an unexpected pregnancy, many individuals can’t see how their lives could flourish with a child. It is our deepest desire that all women and men are aware that there is help in an unexpected pregnancy, and that they are not alone. Let’s support them and continue to pray that they would find meaning and joy in the purposes and plans that God has for them.
Let’s celebrate these moms. We care. We want to help. Your support can remind her that there is help, that she is not alone, and that she can flourish in fulfilling all God’s purposes for her.
The First Response Relay Relays require individuals working together. How beautiful it is when Christians unite to support women who are pregnant and alone. Let’s walk together and show them we care!
Register Online – Download our Relay Participant Pledge Form or create an online fundraising page. Register by May 1st. Let us know you plan to walk 5 km on Saturday, May 12, 2018! Last year, approximately 400 people came out to walk/jog/run with us. The relay begins 9:00 AM at Willowdale Baptist Church at 15 Olive Ave, Toronto, ON, M2N 4N4 (near Yonge & Finch). Plan to arrive by 9:00AM to hand in your forms, grab some coffee, and/or collect your T-Shirt*. Come out this Mother’s Day Weekend in support of our PCC Moms and their families!
Raise Funds – Get creative and set a goal! Your goal might be to ask 20 people to support you, or you can decide to raise $500. The PCC is counting on $50,000 being raised at this year’s Relay in order to provide critical support services for expectant moms this year.
Ask your friends, your family, or coworkers to sponsor you on you walk or run to help reach your goal. Your donation helps individuals seeking pregnancy help by funding access to free pregnancy tests, options information, post abortion support, community referrals, and practical support in a confidential, non-judgment, and no-pressure environment.
Run/Walk 5km – Come on Saturday, May 12th at 9:00am with your walking shoes, and the donations you’ve collected. Let’s walk together and show them we care!
Our relay will be taking place (rain or ‘shine) on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Plan to arrive by 9:00AM. Finish off the morning with lunch! Prizes to be won (*participants who raise $50 or more receive lunch, a T-shirt, and are eligible to win sponsored prizes). Don’t forget to bring out your friends and family!
Where is the Relay? The Relay begins at Willowdale Baptist Church at 15 Olive Ave, Toronto, ON, M2N 4N4 (near Yonge & Finch). We will be stopping at church relay checkpoints along the 5KM route.
Why is it called a Relay? Relays require individuals working together. How beautiful it is when Christians unite to support women who are alone and pregnant. Let’s be the hands and feet of Christ. Let’s walk together and show them we care!
Is it better to register as a team or on my own? As a team, you can collectively work towards a goal. Many churches will register as teams for a bit of friendly competition. You don’t have to be part of a team to participate. There will be plenty of people of all ages for you to walk with and meet. Please call us at 416-229-2607 if you have any questions.
Is there parking available? Yes. The church parking lot will be reserved for the seating area. Please note there is no parking on Doris Ave but lots of parking on side streets east of Doris Ave.
Can I bring my children? Absolutely! This isn’t a race, so the Relay is stroller and kid friendly. Superkids 12 and under eat free! (Superhero attire encouraged, prizes to be won)
What happens if it rains? The Relay will be taking place rain or shine!
Do you need volunteers for the day? Yes! Contact us for more information.
Create a fundraising page online. This is a great way to ask your friends and at the same time raise awareness of PCC services. If you require help please email us. A printable Relay Participant Pledge Form is also available, if you prefer that instead.
You can ask your church to add this in their bulletin:
2018 First Response Relay | Saturday May 12, 2018 @ 9 AM
15 Olive Ave, Toronto, ON, M2N 4N4 (near Yonge & Finch)
Run or walk the annual 4 km Relay Route and join other church teams in Toronto who are raising sponsorship in support for the Pregnancy Care Centre. Funds raised will help women and men get the help they need when faced with an unexpected pregnancy. As care is extended, decisions are made to have a baby rather than have an abortion.
