Sanctity of Life & Marriage Part 3 of Let's Talk About Life & Sex

Sanctity of Pre-born Human Life

In the Old Testament, David acknowledges that God “knit” him together in his mother’s womb and that as a result he is “fearfully and wonderfully made.” God is the author of every life and oversees the development of every unborn child (Psalm 139:13-16.) Hagar experienced a crisis pregnancy and was helped and comforted by the angel of the Lord in Genesis 16. Despite the sinful circumstances surrounding his birth, Ishmael was a valuable human being in God’s eyes.

God made Eve the perfect fit for Adam mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. The marriage relationship is a sacred union that offers a special level of security, mutual trust and intimacy between a man and a woman. God designed sex to be kept exclusively within marriage. Sex outside of marriage offers only momentary pleasure and a counterfeit form of intimacy that can sabotage the relationship with the one who will be your spouse in the future.
