This Christmas, PCC moms received a bounty of diapers, pampering cosmetics and hand-knitted love from our supporters. Students of Wesley Christian Academy raised $300 dollars to contribute, and they offered heart-warming letters of encouragement. We include a few gems here. Names have been removed for privacy. Enjoy!
From a seventh grade boy:
I wanted you to know that we are praying for all of you mothers at the Pregnancy Care Centre. May God bless you this holiday season, and I hope that you understand that God has a great plan for you.
Hello from the Grade One (B) class at Wesley Christian Academy! We wanted to send you a Christmas letter to say we think you are so brave and strong. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas season, and that the new year brings you hope, health and happiness.
From a fifth grade girl:
Merry Christmas to you!
I know how you feel about taking care of a baby. I had to take care of my three newborn puppies, and now they grew up as really good [service] dogs… I wish you a merry Christmas!
From a third-grade girl:
God is there for you and cares for you; even if no one does God will protect you. Ask God for help. Just bow your head, put your hands together and close your eyes. Then tell God what your problem is or if you did something wrong / bad ask for forgiveness and help. Then be patient and God will answer you in your heart.
From a seventh grade girl:
I wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas. I also want to encourage you to pray to God when you are in need. In the Bible there is a verse that says, “Be still and know that I am God.” It is from Psalm 46:10. I think this verse can help you by telling you that you do not need to worry because God is there. You can be still and pray to God…
Don’t ever by afraid of being alone because there is always somebody looking after you and that somebody is God. This Christmas, I want you to be filled with joy and love and to never be put down. John 3:16 in the Bible says, For God so loved the world, that He gave His ONLY son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have Eternal Life. Never stop believing in God. For God loves you. Merry Christmas and God bless you!
Loved, with love, —
From a fifth-grade girl:
You are always in my thoughts and prayers. God knows that your child will be like an angel – sweet and smart. Or maybe it’s a trouble-maker – funny and talented. No matter what, it will be a gift from God. Merry Christmas!
From a sixth grade boy:
I wanted to write you a letter this Christmas season to show you that you are not alone. God is with you. He has great plans for you! There will be tough times, but you will have better days. You are in our prayers. He will make things better. Merry Christmas!
